Terms of Service
The terms that govern use of the AvenRidge client portal and this website. Last updated July 30, 2026.
The portal and your engagement
The AvenRidge client portal is provided by AvenRidge Partners to businesses that have engaged us for accounting services. Your engagement agreement governs the services we provide; if these terms and your engagement agreement conflict, the engagement agreement prevails. Visitors to the public website are welcome, and only the sections of these terms that can apply to a visitor apply to them.
Accounts and credentials
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for the activity that happens under your account. Tell us promptly if you believe an account has been compromised, and we will help secure it.
Acceptable use
- Use the portal only for your own business's legitimate purposes.
- Do not attempt to access another client's data, probe or disrupt the service, or misuse any part of it.
- Do not upload content that is unlawful or that you do not have the right to share.
What the portal is not
Nothing in the portal is an audit, review, or other assurance engagement, and nothing in it is investment advice. Financial statements and commentary are prepared for management’s use under your engagement agreement. Forecasts and projections are labeled as such and are estimates, not promises.
Your data
Your books, records, and documents remain yours. You can export them in full at any time, and if our relationship ends we will hand everything over cleanly. Our use of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy.
Intellectual property
The portal, the website, and their design, software, and content (other than your data) belong to AvenRidge Partners and its licensors. Your engagement gives you a right to use the portal for your business while the engagement lasts; it does not transfer ownership of the platform.
Availability and liability
We work hard to keep the portal available and accurate, but it is provided without warranty of uninterrupted or error-free operation. To the maximum extent the law allows, our total liability in connection with the portal is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, consistent with your engagement agreement, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages.
Ending access
Portal access ends when your engagement ends, after your data has been exported to you. We may suspend access to protect the service or other clients, and we will tell you if we do.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable in Alberta. Changes to these terms will be posted here with an updated date, and material changes will be communicated to clients through the portal.
